Four Month Checkup

Tuesday was Nathan's four month check up. We are excited to report that he is 17 lbs., 12 oz. and 26 inches long! He did a great job with his shots (better than mommy!) and is growing everyday! Wednesday was a busy morning in the Roeschlein household as we gave Nathan his first taste of rice cereal. He seemed to really enjoy eating his first "big boy" food. While we are thrilled to report he was able to keep it down, he still managed to get some of the cereal on his face! Here are a few pics below- We hope you enjoy these!

Nathan's Trip to Florida

We took Nathan on his first plane ride to Florida last week! He was very good on the flights to and from Orlando, sleeping most of time. He got to meet even more family members for the first time, including his Aunt Katie, Uncle Jonathon, and Great-Aunt Sandy. Nathan also got to see his cousin Haley, who is only 3 weeks older than he is. We had a great time visiting with everyone, although we were accused of bringing the "extremely cold" 40-degree weather down with us. Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

Lots of Firsts

The holidays may have ended however we have been very busy keeping up with our growing little man who has had many firsts lately! We are excited to report that Nathan has been sleeping in his big boy bed (A.K.A. the crib) since we have come home from Christmas and loving it! Unfortunately, he also experienced his first cold last week which knocked him out of commission for a few days. Monday we took a trip into mommy's work to meet all of her coworkers. Tuesday, we ventured into the city on our first metro ride with our friend Heather and her baby, Colton so we could have lunch with daddy and Heather's husband Trevor. And as I write this entry this evening, tomorrow we are preparing Nathan to get on his first plan ride to Florida for the long weekend to meet his cousin, Haley, and his aunt Katie and uncle Jon.

Boy, keeping up with Nathan sure is exhausting but we are loving every minute of it! We hope you tune in soon for pictures from our upcoming trip to Florida and also a report on Nathan's 4 month check up coming up the end of the month.

Happy New Year!

The Roeschlein family spent a wonderful Christmas up at Cape Cod this year. Nathan was very good on the long 9 hour car rides there and back, sleeping most of the way. There was about a foot of snow on the ground when we arrived, so he also got to see his first snowfall.

On Christmas Eve, Nathan got to meet tons of family at Sarahbeth's cousin Krissy's annual Christmas party. There were about 30 relatives from the Manning side of the family and they were all excited to meet Nathan for the first time. Check out the slide show of Christmas week at the Cape.
